Quote from: guy on June 19, 2007, 08:58 PM NHFTI'll bet if you sat down and had a cup of coffee with one of them, you might realize that you are not all that different.
They are not that different. They are people, who should stop hurting others. When I have a drink with them, that is what I tell them.

Why wait?

Why try to reason with me about what jobs are right or wrong or whether I should criticize these government thugs?

Mental masturbation?

Russell Kanning

then won't you be crushed in this survival of the fittest?

Russell Kanning

I think these are very important questions for all of us.

Is it right for me to work all day long at the job I currently do?
Do I help or hurt people when I do this job?
Is that order I just received .... right?

They could also tell you that the Browns are also potentially hurting others.

Excellent questions!   BTW, many government workers would rightly answer "help" to your second question... think public health.

Russell Kanning

That could be true.
Would that be right?
Would Ed just be doing his job .... or providing for his family? Or would he be wrong?

People try to convince themselves why they should back the bully .... when the real reason is because they are scared.

Kat Kanning

Why on earth would this woman hurt anyone if she weren't being threatened by thugs?  Or at all...I've never heard of Elaine threatening to hurt anyone.

I am specifically thinking about Federal Marshals and the like.

All government employees are paid stolen money ... so the choice is very easy no matter what department they work in. Look what happens when one of us decides to stop paying federal taxes.

I happen to know someone who her husband treated very thuggishly (sp?), apparently at her request, who was not harming anyone in the least.

If you feel compelled to do something do it, if you feel compelled to not do something than don't, that my friends is what being free is all about.

But being free also brings into the fact that you can't tell some one else what to do, and force them to do it. That is also what being free is all about.

If you want freedom you have to want all of it, or it isn't freedom.  It's actually a very simple concept that has alot of complexities... but so is life and I don't see anyone complaining about being alive.

Lets stop debating semantics, were all here for freedom so lets promote and defend it.

But the locals aren't happy:

So is there or is there not a "Clear and present danger"?  The quotes from my Reply #4272 above on page 285 @ 11:34 AM this morning citing section (d) of the Public Utilities Commission rules whereby the utility may use this excuse to file within 48 hours to have the electricity shut off/ dis-connected, to avoid the 14-day written notice to the contracting customer that they say there IS, in the present tense, danger to: life, health or physical property as it "exists" in the current tense.

To compare with what the Town of Plainfield Selectmen wrote to the Marshal that: "Monier's wait-and-see strategy, the letter said, MAY endanger residents" (emphasis ADDed for the future tense.) So I ask again: which one is it? The Selectmen going on to say something about these possibly ir-"reputable people" who visit their town to jump on the bandwagon.

The definition of the word: bandwagon including: 2. "An apparently ascendant cause that attracts often cynically opportunistic followers." So in other words: the Selectmen not wanting "cynic"s in their town, from the word currish, see http://www.thefreedictionary.com/currish meaning "base and cowardly", not just base, but also a coward!  Certainly anyone packing a pistol to take a defensive position against government goons that might run amuk, is definately not a coward in my book! Read what Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. wrote about the ignoble synonym for this currish word: "I think it a less evil that some criminals should escape than that the government should play an ignoble part", or in other words: the worse of two evils is NOT that a criminal escape, BUT that the government play the part of a coward.  But is Ed really a criminal? And the government a coward to what? A coward is "One who lacks courage in the face of danger or pain." Since there IS, at present, no danger, but that there MAY be danger in the future, we'll have to wait and see in this regard, but what about pain? Pain is defined as a Penalty, as in "pain of death" as an example given, but for when the Marshal like signs his oath of office to the Constitution of the United States it includes 1-8-17 for the HOW, but where is that WHAT that is supposed to be filed by one of his buddies? The Marshal KNOWS that he is operating in this state illegally as against our state statute, and so WHERE are the state, county, and local Law Enforcement officers to protect us from federal goons that run amuk?

I just today received in the mail, another letter dated June 13th from Christiana Thornton, Constituant/Community Laison for Federal Senator John E. Sununu in her Nashua office (170 Main St., 03060, 577-8960) writing that "I have forwarded your request to the Administrative Office of the United States Courts and have asked the Office respond directly to you", re: my request for WHO this federal officer is supposed to be by name and title, plus from where to file these 1-8-17 papers in each of the fifty (50) states and with the Secretary of State for here in N.H. by RSA 123:1 that does not exist.

Maybe the Plainfield Selectmen can "urge" the governor to exert his Art. 41+51 powers to enforce all legislative mandates by the "shall" word in that whatever federal officer there is, that he must file BEFORE jurisdictional authority be set-up for such operations within this state, and so in the meantime the Town Officers have an RSA 92:2 oath of office duty to the state constitution and in particular Art. 12 to protect its paying customers, like Ed & Elaine whose taxes are paid up to date.  Protect them from federal government outlaws BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

Some people in this thread are defending the actions of government workers .... that my friend is not being "for freedom".
